PUBLIC NOTICE OF ELECTION FOR THE TOWN OF POMONA PARK
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PUTNAM COUNTY SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS, THE TOWN OF POMONA PARK 2022 GENERAL ELECTION FOR MAYOR AND FOUR COUNCIL SEATS (SEATS 1, 2, 3, & 5) WILL BE NOVEMBER 8, 2022, AT THE POMONA PARK COMMUNITY CENTER..
QUALIFIED PERSONS MAY BECOME A CANDIDATE BY FILING 10 PETITIONS SIGNED BY QUALIFIED ELECTORS. SAID PETITIONS MUST BE FILED BY NOON ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 5, 2022, AND MUST SHOW THE NAMES AND RESIDENCE ADDRESSES OF ALL SIGNATURES. QUALIFYING FOR ALL CANDIDATES BEGINS AT 12:00 NOON, ON MONDAY, AUGUST 1, 2022, AND ENDS AT 12:00 NOON, FRIDAY, AUGUST 5, 2022.
THE DEADLINE FOR NEW VOTER REGISTRATIONS FOR THE TOWN OF POMONA PARK GENERAL ELECTION IS TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2022. REGISTRATION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE POMONA PARK TOWN HALL.
LOGIC & ACCURACY TEST WILL BE HELD TUESDAY OCTOBER 4th at 1:30 PM.
The Canvassing Board will meet Thursday, November 10th at 4:30 PM to Canvass Provisional Ballots, Signature Cures, and First Unofficial Results. The Canvassing Board will also meet Friday, November 18th at 1:30 PM to Canvass Overseas Ballots, Final Certification and for the Conduct of Election Report and Post-Election Audit Report
ALL CANVASSING BOARD MEETINGS INCLUDING THE LOGIC & ACCURACY TESTS WILL BE HELD AT 2509 CRILL AVENUE, SUITE 900, PALATKA, FLORIDA, AND ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Whereas; the citizens of Pomona Park decided to incorporate The Town of Pomona Park in 1894,
Therefore; the following Mission Statement is proposed.

The Town of Pomona Park exists to keep local tax money used for local purposes.
The Town of Pomona Park exists to keep local decisions made locally.
The Town Council of the Town shall be interested and receptive to input from the residents regarding local decisions and shall remain diligent in deciding how best to satisfy local preferences in a budget efficient manner.
The Town focus shall be to maintain the public parks in a manner that encourages use and public gatherings.
The Town Beautification Committee shall use its resources to encourage all businesses and residents to keep their properties neat, clean and attractive.
